Christian McCaffrey Injury Update
Christian McCaffrey did not practice Thursday and likely will not be ready to play in Week 4 on Saturday. The Panthers are expected to split the workload at running back with Chuba Hubbard and D’Onte FOreman. Head coach Matt Rhule said he did not know McCaffrey had an injury until after Week 3. However, he did not want to speculate about McCaffrey’s status in Week 4.
hamstring injury
The Panthers’ Christian McCaffrey is expected to return to practice this week after suffering a hamstring injury during Week 3 against the Texans. While McCaffrey was limited in practice, the team is optimistic he will be able to play this week against the Cowboys. The injury is not serious, and the Panthers don’t plan to place him on injured reserve. They will instead use rookie Chuba Hubbard to fill in for McCaffrey. Hubbard has run for 52 yards on 11 carries and caught three passes for 27 yards.
Christian McCaffrey has missed the last five weeks of the season due to a hamstring injury. He suffered the injury in Week 3 and was originally expected to be out three to six weeks. He has missed all three games since. The Panthers have already lost two straight games, so losing McCaffrey is the worst possible outcome for their season.
McCaffrey’s injury is a false alarm
After a cleat to the shin in practice Thursday, it appears that Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey’s injury is not serious. The Panthers’ medical staff met to discuss the best course of action for McCaffrey’s return. Ultimately, they decided to put the running back on injured reserve. This means McCaffrey should be available to play in Week 9 against the Patriots.
McCaffrey is a stud when he is healthy and firing on all cylinders. Unfortunately, his injuries have caused him to miss a good number of games. The Panthers had hoped that this flu season would be the season he would finally get to play.
McCaffrey returns to practice on Sunday
Christian McCaffrey returned to practice on Sunday, which is a good sign for the Carolina Panthers. The running back had been dealing with a knee injury since Week 3, but coach Matt Rhule declined to speculate on whether he would be ready to play for the team in Week 4. Although the injury sounds more severe than what has plagued him in the past, the 26-year-old is still a great fantasy option.
After missing Sunday’s game against the Cowboys, Christian McCaffrey is expected to practice again this week. The running back was expected to get a good workout Wednesday, but it’s too early to tell whether he’ll be ready for Sunday’s game against the Eagles. Still, the Panthers are 3-0 when McCaffrey plays.
McCaffrey’s injury affects line movement
Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey is expected to miss the rest of the season after suffering a hamstring injury. He ran for 2 yards on first down on the Texans’ 14-yard line, but was ruled out for the rest of the game. The team had to replace him with Chuba Hubbard. He was spotted spending a lot of time in the blue medical tent during the game. He later left the field with trainers and walked slowly and carefully into the locker room.
McCaffrey has missed two practices. However, coach Matt Rhule says he is not worried about McCaffrey’s availability for Sunday’s game. The team should know McCaffrey’s status by Friday, when the Panthers complete their final Week 4 practices. In the meantime, Chuba Hubbard and D’Onta Foreman are expected to step into McCaffrey’s role.
